LA SANTA 2024 - Meet the Triathlete Special - Moji

Our ladies team captain, Moji Banjo attended her first camp with the club earlier this month and shares below her experience attending our annual training camp at Club La Santa in Lanzarote.

Q1: What your feelings / concerns ahead of coming on training camp at La Santa?

I was nervous and excited as I hadn’t cycled or swam much so I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to keep up, but I thought I’d be able to get some good running practice in.

Q2: What were you looking forward to the most?

Getting away from the British weather and being able to train in the sun. Plus I thought it would be nice to get to know the other club members better.

Q3: What weren’t you looking forward to?

The swim sessions as I find swimming to be the hardest discipline

Q4 What was the highlight / biggest achievement for you at training camp?

Getting my highest elevation ride on the bike and running up the hills in La Santa.

Q5: What are your recommendations for anyone considering coming on the training camp?

Just give it a go, you can have your own focus areas for the camp. You don’t have to do all the sessions.
