DIY Triathlon

Club member Perry Tidbury fashioned his own Ironman triathlon last week, he had been painstakingly preparing for the1066 Ironman race but was unfortunately struck with COVID. Undeterred, when he was fully recovered, Perry decided to do the distances in Havering with a little support from his team mates in Havering Tri.

The Swim was 4,851yards at Stubbers, then on to the bike, which was a total of 114.32 miles, through Bulphan, Billericay, Hanningfeild, Maldon, Bradwell on Sea, with Sarah (his wife) there for the refuelling.. Then Burnham, S.W.F., Wickford, Bulphan, upminster then Rainham.

x13 2.2 miles loops round my housing estate using my house as a aid station. Men's Captainn, James Stubbs came out to support and ride with Perry from Bulpan onwards

Run 😆 28.67 miles

The, it was just the run left, a little matter of 28.67 miles... Perry completed his own Ironman in 16 hours - well done, we are really proud of your grit and determination to get it down! We are Havering Tri!!!!
