How did you get into the sport / join Havering Tri?

Long story short, I wanted to take part in an Ironman before I hit 50 ! I was 42 at the time and thought it might be better to tri sooner rather than later lol

What's the best thing about being a member of HTC?

The people x I absolutely love the members ! Everyone is so wonderful and helpful and supportive x Love em to bits x​

Your most embarrassing or funniest moment triathlon related?

Oh dear I have many ! The one that stands out is, at the end of the swim on my first full distance, I had pee'd in my wet suit ( standard procedure, right? Lol) not realising that as I got out of the water, a lovely volunteer would offer to help me pull off the suit ! OMG I nearly died of embarrassment !

Whats the best advice that you would give to a new member of HTC?

Keep going ! No matter what ( unless you've proper broken yourself obvs !) the end only gets closer the more you move towards it ! Oh and don't keep looking at your watch!!!
